For Recovery.
For Community.
For women.

$10M campaign to build a Healing Transitions recovery community for women.

$5,123,000
Join us as we pioneer this innovative new model for recovery housing on the Healing Transitions Women’s Campus.

Healing Transitions’ peer-driven, recovery-oriented approach works. And our commitment to alumnae doesn’t end when they graduate from our program.

Women face unique stressors and barriers to maintaining their recovery, especially single mothers reuniting with their children. As they strive to build financial and emotional stability, they are more successful when supported by others in recovery. Additionally, in light of an affordable housing crisis in Wake County, new housing that specifically supports women in recovery offers them an affordable start to sustaining their recovery. This compels us to innovate!

Because we believe recovery is a journey, we’re committed to addressing the unique stressors for women in their next step of the recovery journey. Moving forward together towards stable housing, family reunification, and resources for job security is crucial for maintaining recovery.

New Path to
Sustain Recovery

Celebration

The Transition Ceremony celebrates a woman’s new status as an alumna of the Healing Transitions residential recovery program.

Reality

This new stage of recovery is not an endpoint. She has more transitions ahead as she resumes responsibilities for paying bills, parenting, and finding a place to live.

Innovation

Healing Transitions is raising $10M to build recovery-oriented housing on its Women’s Campus to help women move forward in sustained recovery.

Stability

In the new housing, alumnae will live among peers in recovery, with the support and guidance that are hallmarks of the Healing Transitions peer-to-peer model.

Affordable, Supportive,
Sustainable

Together we can ensure more women have support for sustaining their recovery. Your contributions will provide:

Stability

for recovery.

Affordable rent, support from peers, and links to community resources equip alumnae to juggle demands of life in early recovery and reach a place of stability.

Sisterhood

for community.

Living among peers in small groups or with their children and engaging in new onsite programs designed for women in this stage of recovery provide guidance and accountability.

Hope

for women.

Research shows that recovery residences are associated with better outcomes, including better abstinence rates, higher income, and greater rates of employment.
